Pack contains two separate addition mats. Print off (and ideally laminate) your preferred mat.

Mats are perfect for exploring addition of two quantities. Can be used as a teacher/adult demonstration tool and/or independent activity.

Place loose parts or playdough as decorations/baubles on each tree. Count the decorations/baubles and write the corresponding numbers in the boxes below. Count the total number of decorations/baubles altogether and write the answer in the final box.

Once children become confident with the idea, an adult may for example write numbers in the first two boxes and encourage children to place the correct number of decorations/baubles on each Christmas tree and find the final number independently.
