Onomatopoeic firework word posters. Ideal for use with young children (Phase 1 letters and sounds) to encourage them to develop and experiment with various speech sounds. Also ideal with slightly older children to explore onomatopoeic words (words which phonetically imitate the sound that is made by the object being described). FIREWORK RHYTHMS
Fireworks sound cards to encourage children’s sense of rhythm and enjoyment of making sounds. Cards are different lengths to show the duration of each sound. You could introduce the sounds to the children first, for example getting them to say the long sound ‘zoooooom’ a few times in a row. Then showing them that the ‘bang’ sound is shorter and two bangs are equal to one zoooooom! You could follow this by showing the cards so that they have a visual cue as you develop different rhythms with them.
