SHAPE DESCRIBING WORDS - SCAVENGER HUNT CHECKLIST
This ‘Scavenger Hunt Checklist’ activity is intended to help children to think about real world shapes, to engage their senses and appreciate the environment around them.
Children are encouraged to find e.g. ‘Something spiky’ and make a mark to check it off on their list once they have.
Designed to inspire children to investigate the shapes everywhere. Why not use it on an out and about ‘Shape Walk’?…or in a ‘Shape Investigation’ area in your setting?
Alternatively, use as part of an interactive display area to enrich your setting environment or as the stimulus of a tuff spot activity.
Two sheets included within pack. Each sheet contains six different descriptive words: round, spiky, smooth, bumpy, pointy, long, flat, straight, curved, symmetrical, spiral and thin.
