SPRING SENSES PROMPTS/DISPLAY
These prompts are intended to encourage discussion and thinking about our senses during the spring.
Together with each mini-banner there are small note sheets for children to mark-make/write/draw their thoughts and experiences.

MY SPRING SENSES POEM
These Spring Senses Poem mark making prompt sheets will help encourage your children to draw and/or write about their senses and start to get a feel for poetry…perhaps after the children have been on a Spring walk! Children can complete them at varying levels. For example, your youngest children may be able to tell you what they see or hear and you can scribe a single word in each box. Some children may like to make marks to represent what they sense and your more developed children may like to write the rest of the sentence thinking about describing words to build a picture in the reader’s mind. Please note, the words do not need to rhyme.

SPRING GARDEN DRAWING
Ideal as part of 'Spring' topic. This 'Draw what you see' sheet can be laminated and used in conjunction with whiteboard pens (perhaps placed near a window overlooking your outdoor area/garden) for children to use over and over again to practise drawing what they see. Alternatively you could print out individual copies for the children to draw their own wildlife to take home. To be used in setting or during out and about adventures!

SPRING PICTURE SNAP CARDS
Consolidate children’s knowledge of Spring sights whilst playing a fun game of ‘snap’ (or a memory game of ‘picking up pairs’ if you only print 2 of each card) with this set of large snap cards. The cards are made with a tab which can be folded before lamination in order to strengthen the final product. This also means that when turned over, the picture on the front can not be seen.
