CLOTHES - Playdough Clothes Mat - Outfit Design
Playdough mat with generic person outline. Children can be encouraged to create their own playdough outfits. Alternatively, children can be inspired by the scenario cards within the pack. Four scenarios included, plus a blank sheet for your own ideas.
Level of independence with this activity depends on age and stage of the child. With younger children it can be used as a communication and language prompt. Talk about the clothes you might wear e.g. for ‘Playing in the snow’. (Why not use in conjunction with our ‘Word Cards’ for picture communication?) Make the clothes with them; modelling how this is done. Your oldest children may be able to complete the activity almost entirely independently.
Have fun!
